HUGE FAC Apps Sale!
Highly prized Frederic Corvest apps are on sale for the holidays:
For those who own and enjoy them, which are your favorites, and why?
Comments
Alteza! Cause I just bought it twenty minutes ago.
Hahaha!!!
Touché!
Currently, probably Bandit (less essential than it was because Bleass Motion is a serious rival with more flexibility but this is very very handy to have in one package, I especially recommend getting the IAPs, and like even FAC app the sound quality is excellent), Alteza (really rich sounding), Envolver (very unique).
I did a video on Bandit for anyone interested:

If you make EDM or Hip-Hop, Maxima is a no-brainer. It will seriously enhance your kicks.
Phazer adds some really nice texture to pads.
well, fac me, that's a nice sale.
is maxima a compressor!?
i have a few so i’m not sure i need more but maybe
I can highly recommend Envolver - feed a track into another track to create a midi envelope - there’s nothing else like this on iOS I don’t think.
Jon Hopkins said in an interview once:
“ The first sound I made on the record that survived to the final version is at the beginning of "Neon Drum Pattern." There's this pad sound that gradually gets eroded into a rhythm, that 5/4 pattern I mentioned earlier. That's actually a plug-in that Tim Exile was kind enough to make for me. Basically it allows you to apply the exact volume envelope of one sound to another.”
This plugin is basically what Jon’s describing! Now for 5.99!
Here’s the track he’s talking about:
FAC Transient. I literally use it every time out (although I got it in the FAC Bundle rather than as a standalone).
For those who don't know what it does, FAC Transient works in two ways: essentially, positively and negatively. I'll explain with drums as that's what I tend to use it on.
If you have drums with a lot of noise between the hits and you want to reduce that noise to make the hits more prominent, FAC Transient reduces the transients between hits to do precisely that.
If you have drum hits which decay too quickly and you'd like to extend the tails without using reverb, FAC Transient does that by increasing the transients after hits.
I'm sure there are videos which illustrate it much better than I can do with words.
Chorus, Phazer and Bandit (with iAP) are absolute jewels on guitars ! I often try Alteza, but always end up in Flux:FX or Bleass or Eventide... it's not a "problem" on the app side, but more from mine ; when tweaking it I tend to always do "too much" and easily loose myself. I need to take the time to really master each knobs...
But one think is clear : FAC apps brings a real "something" that I really like to the sound 👍🏻🥰.
Chorus is an effect I generally don't use much. But oh boy... FAC Chorus is the delicious cream on basslines
Great opportunity! Thanks for letting us know @SNystrom
@Bob Uhhhh. You are at your quota until you finish a track. 😂😂😂😂
does anyone know if the bandit iap's are on sale?
@onerez 😭😭, i know!! Having more tracks starting out of nowhere instead of finishing them. Aaaargh, it’s an issue. HELP 🤣
Pretty sure they're not - but they're definitely worth it...👍
Yah FAC Transient for me is indispensable. I have used it all over the place. Have you tried Beatformer?
I just bought Alteza, my first FAC app, and put it at the end of an AUM guitar channel preceded by RSS Comp 609, Gain Stage Vintage Clean, and TTAP. So deep I could barely come up for air.
Am I obliged to buy the rest of the FACs? If one or two, which ones?
You’re a guitarists, so I would recommend the Phaser first and foremost. It would sound lovely placed both before or after Alteza. The FAC chorus is also regarded as one of the best chorus' on IOS, perhaps a close 2nd to Eventide. Bandit is a multi band multi fx unit. It's got bit crushing, delays, saturation and more. 3 different (or the same) fx can be applied in varying amounts to up to 3 different bands in audio. I think it'd be great for guitar
I have been going through some Youtube videos and WOW, these apps sound really good. Doesn't feel as digital as Bleass apps. Picked up the whole collection just now.
I like Bleass apps in general but I am not a fan of their reverb. Alteza is a beautiful silky reverb.
These app are worth to pay. Really nice apps
Mobisoft Infotech
Bleass sound didn’t do it for me. They are too sterile and digital in my opinion
Ohhhh that's my boy
first effect I released some years ago! At the very beginning of the fabulous AuV3 adventure
...I drop this here, I love coffee too.
It was love at first sight
Saw your coffee techno yesterday on instagram... Gotta stretch the machine into a drone
Rewatching now inspired me to brew one now
I caved and bought them all. Time for a test drive.
Ahaha that's the spirit. Enjoy the bounty!
The Chorus is great ( I prefer it to the Eventide), but Envolver is sublime - lots you can do with that without knowing at first that you wanted to do that.
What is the most unusual experimental of his apps would you say? I'm lean away from standard often used sounds and techniques. Looking for otherworldly..
I haven't. Transient is exactly what I need on iOS but I don't have a solution for Ableton so I'll check Beatformer on PC.
I think FAC Transient is available on Mac?
