love it! your stuff is so musical! very cool arrangement and composition. Glad to see the presets getting some use.
You know that today is a special day in the astronomy world. It is the great conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn (the planets, not the synth/fx). It would be great to have you composing something for this special event
Those Trombone parts put a big smile on my face. Very powerful and majestic. Listening to your choice of sounds and the way you played them on this one in particular, I’m starting to understand what you and @TheOriginalPaulB have been saying about the idea of letting go and allowing the timbre itself to tell you what to play rather than trying to force your own will and confinements onto it.
These are going to be great when all put together!
Great job my friend!
Good stuff! Very filmic, if that's a word. Also put a smile on my face as mentioned above by others. Envy your ability to end your projects and publish them. I start project after project but never get to a point where I think - done! Lets upload ..
Of course you would be the man to blend synths and trombones so well...
Listening to this makes me imagine a classic sci-fi movie
Thanks @shinyisshiny, those are good presets you made!
@cuscolima , @rs2000 is sending me tracks for a conjunction collab.
Thanks for the praise @RUST( i )K, hope you are doing well these days.
@Pxlhg, I think you should upload even if you're not 100% on a track. For several reasons... 1. You could get useful feedback. 2. A sense of completion that will reinforce your doing it again. 3. It will be a new aspect of your musical experience with unforeseen benefits. Otherwise you’re stuck in the Einstein insanity quote. Your using the forum as a publishing platform helps every creator here.
@Spidericemidas, yeah, WOOT really packed a wallop with those trombs... just lucky, WOOT opened up to that preset. No fiddling! And I agree, being open to the sounds informing you is a big part of the experience. Serendipities, like my WOOT above, come more and more frequently if you let go.
You are an experienced and gifted sound designer. That is very handy in listening to what you are doing. For example, in this track I came to a place where it sounded pretty good, but it wasn’t “thick” enough. Listening openly it just occurred to me that the FM Tines track was the unfulfilled promise. I went to add Ravenscroft and, maybe because of the update issue, it wouldn’t load. Retro Piano was right next to it on the menu. Why not? I plugged it in, picked a preset and voila. So, openness in listening and serendipity. So start with listening and add your sound designer approach to the entire track. Think of it as one big preset! Just my thoughts, of course.
The song climax was really good. Nice job with the whole thing.
Thank you @Pandan. I love big climaxes😳
