Is there something like Future Drummer but with user samples?

As per the title. Muting all tracks and using Midi out of FD is killing my workflow. I‘d be happy to fire up an app that does what FD can do but with user samples.

I envy you! I don‘t get the joke tbh :'(

  • Can you clarify what you mean by wanting something that 'does what Future Drummer can do' ..?
There are so many drum apps that can import user samples...

Yes, that will definitely help, or we may end up with a lot of suggestions for good apps that just don’t suit your workflow.

Let the flood begin! DrumComputer and Patterning...

I‘m refering to the jamming capabilities of FutureDrummer. Read: FutureDrummer (and the other Lumbeat apps) do add hits. Whereas Patterning only does subtract (not play) already programmed hits.
I like the idea of the Lumbeat apps but would like to use my own samples without using more than one app!

  • U could map midi out of future drummer to any other sampler or sample based drum.
I do that and record midi to Drambo

As I wrote I find this rather tedious...

DPP is very complex, but offers a similar jamming experience and allows you to import your own samples. I would say it's the closest to lumbeats in that aspect to anything else on ios.

  • Could also try an app like Riffer. Lock down the basic drum pattern you like and then engage infinity mode for accent generation.

I see what you mean. I simply think that DPP is way more "unintuitive" and a lot more "deep" than FD. It's a little like if DPP needs "programming skills" while FD is more a "directly playable" drum machine.

I own Playbeat and it is random only. The Lumbeat apps seem more human in jamming. And i like the break option. FD is working quite well except for the sounds and the Midi Out setup hassle.

    I hear you but.
Once you have a template it’s easy and there’s endless quick possibilities with Drambo.
I transpose in Drambo for a different kit

I think playbeat and or riffer would do the trick. The jamming aspect of future drummer and funk drummer etc are unique and I dont know drum pro.
ps. I was blown away with play beat used with my own samples because its so easy like future drummer but had the exact vibe/drum hits. And its gotta hyper trap mode as well...Cheers

  • Turkey Drummer is a bit bland. Its just compressed crap.

    Maybe use Goose EQ?
