Music apps that utilize an external monitor on the iPad pro?
Well, Santa brought me an iPad pro 11”. I was speechless. Anyway, now is day one with my new iPad and the first thing I’m doing is shopping dongles and adaptors
I tried the USB-C hub from my Mac and it worked perfectly, including using my 4k monitor. It’s just great how some apps can utilize the external monitor. For example iMovie does support a full screen mode where you can edit your movie on the iPad screen while watching the result on the monitor at the same time.
This possibility raised some questions... I wonder if some iOS music apps already make use of that. Especially DAWs could benefit a lot from the increased screen estate. Well, I checked out Zenbeats and AUM and they can’t do that. Anyone knows why? Or are there any other music apps that can?

I don't get the point unless you're also using a mouse and keyboard. You still have to look down at the iPad in order to do anything on the screen. Look down, move a knob, look up to see it on a big screen? I do see how it would be a benefit with video, but I don't get it for audio apps. Maybe I'm missing something.
OT, I know ... but if you hold your hands out and make a window around your TV from the couch. That window ends up being roughly the size of an iOS device at comfortable viewing distance. So, in terms of relative size in field of vision, the iPad is the same or bigger than most TV's.
Sorry - not helpful, I know.
