Apple App Store...changing country
https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201389
Hello,
I read the information at above link.
In reinstalling apps after changing country, am I going to lose all the files/recordings/samples etc I created?!
Also still not totally clear about reinstalling apps that I bought...but no longer available on App Store.. I guess if I own them I can reinstall? Still the same device....
But in future changing to a new device...?
Any help appreciated as usual.
Thanks.

One 'thing' to be aware of is that if you have any store-credits (loaded gift-cards) it will 'vanish' when you change the store...
I experienced this the 'hard way' when changing store on a vacation trying to get local apps using gift-cards from that country. When I changed back to my store of origin the credits were gone and that is how it's supposed to work at least a few years back it was. Never tried it after that...
Currently it is impossible to transfer 'purchased' apps to another country as the license is only valid for the country were it was initially acquired.
Yeah, it's a 'sucky' situation but prepare to 'loose' some apps at some point when changing the country.
I think it's there in the fine-print of the insanely long terms & conditions blabber...
Cheers!
Thanks a lot Samu.
I only have less than a USD worth of credit left.....do I actually have to spend that?...cause nothing for that low amount...happy to lose it!
I could try to use credit card payment from my current country as form of payment and not change countries at all....or have gift vouchers sent from a friend? In the past just used gift cards...but not in that country anymore....
Will enquire at local Apple store in town.
Sorry I mean use credit card from country in which the App Store was set up....card must be same country as the App Store country I think.....
Yeah, card needs to be registered in same country as the selected AppStore otherwise it will not work.
There's also some legal mumbo-jumbo in the terms & conditions that using another countries store is not guaranteed to work.
For those that travel around the world and sometimes need to get apps that are only present locally it's a real pita when an app is not present 'globally' (which I get if it's an app targeted at specific 'local audience') and 'side loading' (like loading a local .apk/.ipa) is currently not an option on iOS/iPadOS.
Hope you'll work it out somehow...
Cheers!
