Dude, have you been on a gear acquisition spree?!! Looks impressively jumbojetty!!! I’m jealous even if it isn’t portable enough for my taste! ;) My rig is shrinking. I even just sold Circuit (i’m a sellout!)
as it was collecting dust since the arrival of Drambo.

Invested in Pro 11 2020 to give it plenty of CPU/Ram to ride on and finally terminate usb power to peripherals issues.

Would love to hear some late night production from your rig at some point!

Thank you! I love the set ups you have! As well as your music! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year back at ya! I see you’re well rigged up to welcome it!

Cool setups both of you! Nice use of rack lids @supadom, I’ll have to remember that if building anything mobile.

These are actually regular travel brief/suitcases. I was lucky that somehow sizes allowed me for a snug fit for my controllers. Novation remote has just 3mm spare space! I can imagine rack case lids working well too, if not better.

Cool Man! I just had a proper look at your rig. A lot of elektron gear in there. What box do you generally find yourself gravitating towards?

Octatrack has changed my entire way I make music. It is more a tool than instrument to be honest. It makes sync, midi triggering, audio routing and effects in one place. It is like a physical AUM. I don't care about people bitching about the Fx of it either. They work.

Octatrack and Circuit are all I would actually need to be honest.

Digitone is amazing when I need it, but more so I can run hardware audio through Digitone and USE ITS AMAZING FX !

For me it is about consolidation of signals and uniformity for ease of a machine versus a bunch of little boxes.

I am gonna do some vids in future.

I am at the point I feel I have enough to share to help others.

I also play like hi hat loops, kick drum, and like perc, and pads on the OCTA track.

But I drive midi in 5 things from it and sync all the semi modular stuff.

I think it would be cool to mod a piano cabinet into a studio desk, they’re practically free all over the place anyway. Like this, except volcas & iPads & whatever

Whoa that is a great idea! I going to look for pianos now!

  • I've directed most of my free time, since lockdown started, toward rebuilding the art studio out back, which was apparently first built by trained monkeys. I'll be making it my new musical space as well, so taking notes...

  • We just picked up this desk for $50. We needed somewhere for my eldest to do his homework. I don’t see why I can’t make use of it when everyone has gone to bed though! 😏
