Op1 to Cubasis 3

Hi is there a simple way to record the audio from an op-1 into cubasis 3 on iPad Pro. I tried connecting a little headphone jack from the red jack on the op 1 to the lightning port that didnt seem to work.

  • an audio interface might help

  • One way would be to record audio to the tape tracks of the op1 and then transfer the tape files to Cubasis (perhaps using the Lightning to usb CCK).... though it might not be the workflow you are looking for

There's an app that does this called op-1 manager, although it's not entirely reliable. I use my zoom H1n mic as an audio interface if I want to get OP-1's audio into the ipad in real time.

+1 for the H1n, the stereo line input has good quality and the thing doubles as a nice stereo field recorder.

  • Thanks for the tips

  • The red jack socket on the OP-1 is for a mic/line input. To send the signal out to the iPad, you should use the other one.
