Modern Deluxe guitar amp by Julien Faure (Auv3)

https://apps.apple.com/app/id1546444360

Description:

Clean, crunch and more crunch! The pre-amps are nothing more than a capture of my personal British style amp. The hardware version has only one channel and a light stack, so I added a channel and a 5-bands equalizer (like on the MKII) very effective. The amp takes over the cab and reverb of the Tone Deluxe.

  • Two channels each one with two preamp gains, a mid-boost and a boost
  • A pedalboard with 8 super efficient stomps, no need to disconnect cables to test the positions of the stomps
  • The distortion responds to the volume of the guitar
  • Two models of reverb springs
  • 12 cabinet models (1x12, 2x10, 2x12, 4x12) which reproduce the sound characteristics of the most famous cabinets
  • a pedal floor emulation to deal with presets

Universal: No
Minimum OS version: 11.0

  • There's a video of the vst version here:

  • edited December 2020

Gave this a punt as seems a no brainier at the price and my first impressions are good, sounds great with a lot of diverse tones quickly dialable,,, also loads of little extras, tuner, looper and built in drum loops... the amp police may have to have a word with me later but I like this so far!

  • Having said the above, I may have to contact the dev about the tuner acting odd in aum as well as requesting bpm sync to host...

  • @White I promised myself I wasn't gonna buy any apps or IAPs today but thanks to you, here I go...

    😂😂😂same

  • Just doing my bit for the team 😀

  • The dropdown menus for drums, looper and cabs don’t show up in the AUv3 version. I can access these menus in the standalone version though. You guys are experiencing this issue too?

  • Dev said it’s fixed in an incoming update 👍👍

Yes. Also in his other organ app the menu doesn’t work. Glad he is gonna fix this.

  • @flo26
    What say you?
Price is certainly right. But I already have THU full, AmpliTube, Nembrini, GE labs, Bias, ToneStack and others that I’ve lost track of. Did I say the price is right?

  • Oh and bpm sync is on his to do list as well...

    I won’t buy it for now.Maybe later.

In the Auv3 can you still access all the cabs if there is no dropdown?

Yes. MIDI map the Cabinet to a controller knob. Then the knob changes the selection. Note: the Amp controls are near the end of the list of AUv3 controls. Works for Drums also.

Hahaha i hear you man. Same here, own them all and still i had to grab this app to add to the collection 😉 sucks to be a tone junkie 🤪

Ah excellent, bug is fixed! All good now. Very cool to see this quick action from the developer.
Getting some real interesting tones with this app. Definitely worth the $2!

How well does the tuner work?

It would be useful for the tuner alone actually as there
doesn't seem to be that many auv3 guitar tuners about.

It’s not the worst, not the best either - I figured out the off tuning thing was the old host sample rate problem so I told Julien, I think given his response so far he’ll probably tackle it before long... I still like the overall tone and general dialability of this, but then, I am neither a man of wealth or taste 😁

    That's good to know.

    Lololol... 😁
If it works for you it's all cool.
Sounds okay from the demo video.
Reminds me of the old school digitech stuff.
For the price it's really good.

  • Yeah it’s definitely great value considering the pedals and everything - I’ve got the nembrini ones as well and while I wouldn’t be the person to say it sounded as good, I’m enjoying playing through it just as much, reminds me of the kind of amps we used to play through in village halls, especially with the basic spring reverb it’s got built in...
