Nicely done @GeoTony.
Happy New Year!
Impressive glass work here Tony! Nicely done! Pretty song too!
@pbelgium , @Intrepolicious thank you for your kind words. Hopefully it shows that GeoShred, in addition to SWAMing and shredding (which are both great) , can be used for more traditional guitar based music.
Beautiful proof of the GeoShred screen... wouldn't a GeoSWAM nylon guitar be lovely? I wonder if we'll see the MoForte + SWAM collaboration produce more instruments.
@McD I agree about the nylon guitar. Even though the Classical Acoustic preset is supposed to be nylon I don’t think the sound is at all authentic. Things will only get better with time though.
The best nylon guitar preset on my iPad is in the BeatHawk "Baroque" IAP.
Can we use the Geoshred UI and point it other sound engine apps? Even the nylon guitar in BS16i's default General MIDI SF2 sounds pretty good.
Just bought it, a snip at £3.99. I agree it sounds a lot more like a nylon than GS. I’m a sucker for Harps and like Harpsichords as well so thanks very much for the tip. Just need to use them now! Pointing GS at it is no problem with AUM.
Does it support all the required gestures you need for this performance? It doesn't seem like you're doing anything MPE specific. I love these minor keyed "emo" classic compositions with descending baselines in the chord progression. I hope you post some more work using
the Beathawk nylon guitar(s).
@McD , I don’t think I am using anything MPE ish in this particular piece. Only issue I see is finding the right Midi out settings in GeoShred (there are lots) to drive BeatHawk correctly. The release of the notes using GS is a bit aggressive at the moment compared with just playing in BH. Will experiment and post a separate discussion if required. Or if anybody has the answer to the correct midi settings for GS to BH please feel free! all the best.
