OT Stadia iOS is amazing
Ever since iOS 14.3 you can use stadia on the iPad or iPhone. Been playing jedi fallen order this week on my iPad with a Bluetooth controller. I was skeptical but it actually works really well. There’s a bunch of aaa titles you can play without buying an Xbox or ps5. All you need is decent internet.
This could be a big part of the future of iOS gaming.

If you can pickup the WiFi stadia controller cheap, it shaves a few more precious milliseconds off latency.
For all but the twitchiest FPS games (looking at you Doom) I find the latency low enough for me to completely forget I am streaming.
It's been a really great platform to play Cyberpunk 2077 and Baldurs Gate 3 over the last month. I'm also enjoying AC Odyssey and the tomb raider reboot series.
Question for you guys, can you stream your iPad screen on the tv (Apple TV) while playing Stadia? Certain tv App blocks you from doing that.
OMG... this is amazing! Wish I knew about it two weeks ago. Would have had a lot of fun burning my holidays with Red Dead 2. Stadia works insanely good with my XBox controller over my sweet sweet fibre connection.

Yeah, Stadia is fun. Google sent me a free Stadia controller and new Chromecast for being a YouTube Premium subscriber. And I got a month free.
If I didn't have a bunch of games on Steam already, then I'd invest more into Stadia.
Definitely, beats downloading games and needing a top line gfx card.

I’m sure latency would be terrible. Works pretty well with an adapter and hdmi.

Guys, any ideas how Google is managing CPU/GPU load for stadia?
It requires quite powerful PC to play a single instance of cyberpunk 2077. I am trying to Imagine what is needed to run like 10 000 of them simultaneously.

What a time to be alive. For a price of the game you have access to it without downloading nor having beefed up PC. If I would be a few years younger, would definitely dive into this.
Another nice thing is the absolute minimal battery usage and heat compared to playing installed games. I mean this is like watching youtube really.
Do you have to pay for each game or are games like Red Dead 2 included in the subscription?
There are free ones but Read Dead 2 is paid. The free ones are for the most part older or small indie titles. I was playing Destiny 2 for free for a bit but not sure if that was just a demo or limited time for free. But yah, got Red Dead 2 for 43$ Cad.
Also looks like the subscription just enables 60fps and higher resolution etc. but you can play for games you have 'bought' without the subscription, if that makes sense

Once I arrived at the camp in the summer I just walked around for an hour looking at the dirt, plants, sky and trees. Couldn't even think of gameplay. Stunning!
I’m confused, the AppStore description says you can’t play on iOS.
I think it works in a browser on iOS.
I’m spoilt for gaming with XBox Gamepass Ultimate options but this does look neat. Haven’t had time to play Red Dead 1 yet never mind 2.
Apple really doesn't want Stadia to work on iOS, but Google found a workaround:
