iPad OS 14.3 issues
Well the latest OS is not happy on my Mini 5.
I’m getting terrible CPU spikes in AUM when the processor load is 40% and above, regardless of buffer setting. Browser scrolling is sticky too and I’m getting intermittent freezes.
How’s it running for others on the same or different platforms ?
Comments
Don’t have a mini, but AUM is running fine on my 7th generation iPad with 14.3. No issues with any of the versions of iOS 14 so far.
@zeropoint Have you tried restarting the iPad? And make sure you force-quit other busy apps (browsers, etc.) when doing music.
Here you go. Thanks

Seems the spike is UI related as it always happens when pulling an app up to tweak. I think I’m going to have to build some more test projects to see whether it’s related to particular apps. DrumComputer & Patterning 2 seem to be culprit candidates at the moment . I found this in a thread. Maybe that’s an iOS 11 issue that has crept back on my machine...mmmm
Yeah thanks. I always restart before a session and disconnect from wi fi.
This session just caused a huge spike resulting in a complete system crash. I’ve never had one of those before on this set up. I kept DrumComputer interface window at reduced height and scrolled to access parameters as I’d read in another thread that a maximised DC can cause 30% CPU spikes....
