Industrial Music Electronics Hertz Donut mk3 flavour?
I am a big fan of the Industrial Electronics upfront and unapologetic digital sound. I already have a number of their modules... but this time - rather than just do the obvious thing and go buy the module (and maybe bankrupt myself), I am wondering if I can recreate its sound with any of the ios/auv3 synths. Guess FM(and audio rate modulation) is the main culprit .... but something with very user flexible routing... I am also looking at max/msp (shame its not on the ipad). I am not trying to just clone its sound - just get something in that sonic ballpark .... Any suggestions for apps etc?
Thanks!

One of the ios modular environments will probably get you closest.
like drambo?
Yeah, Drambo or combining modules in miRack. I haven't looked into the architecture of this module, what makes it unique?
not sure - manual is here https://ime-assets.s3.amazonaws.com/uploads/manual/manual/27/hd3manual10.pdf
Definitely some oscillators in miRack will get you close and any missing components can be patched in.
I've got one in my rack and must say that it is very hard to recreate any IME module in a non Eurorack environment, since it is based on TZFM phase shifting synthesis with a very unique aliasing character.
However I think that Drambo would be the best candidate, with some bit reduction here and there
Will check this out - thanks!
