APP: AU to Identify note?
Recommendations?

I’ve used the 4pockets analyser and tuner plugin with success.
Have you got Pro Q3 ? You can turn on a piano below the display to show what notes are there. When you are adding or editing the q points it also shows what note the selected frequency is.
Not as easy as a tuner though.
Any tuner app will do this.
TH-U Overloud has a decent tuner.
TotalEnergyTuner by the same author as Thumbjam.
TonalEnergy is not AU

If it’s midi, either a note or chord Tonality unpacks an AU for that, 1 of 3 or 4 AUV3 inside.
If it’s audio there’s 4 pockets analyzer, or try a tuner from a guitar amp app like Bias in an fix slot. You can also get pitch info from Blue Mangoo’s Oscilloscope & Spectrogram, but you have to use the pitch knob to move the line to match the brightest parts in spectrogram. Or you can even use a tuner app on an iPhone and listen to iPad, or vice versa. I think Tunable is still FREE, usually $8.99.
Also segments will tell you key and tempo if you load a file in, as willll Audiolayer
Thats right! THANKS!
Thanks
Thank you
I don't remember? LOL
Is there a way to isolate just strongest single note on that?
Maybe? Here is a video where I use it to tune Kick Drum Synth, with the Tuner and Note detection Views:

If you have a physical guitar tuner laying around you might just leave the dfam plugged into it.
Did you select the 'Tuner' preset?
Also this oscilloscope by Mani Consulting https://apps.apple.com/dk/app/oscilloscope-spectrogram/id1525484137
I'm still hoping for an AU that displays the detected note in its avatar
I have been using Paul's app! ThX
