21-minutes-reminiscence for Soundscaper

Weird as ever, maybe a little loud at 1:00, and - well - long ... so lay you down in your sound chair, headphones would also be a good idea...

  • Dig it!

I was working on some generative stuff in Drambo when I caught this and they sounded so good together I just let it ride.

  • Wow. What apps are involved in making this epic work? I suspect you've invested in importing a lot of sample material into SoundScaper but would like to know for sure.

  • Very moving and immersive. The trumpets reminded me a bit of ‘Donnerstag’ by Stockhausen.

How did you create your sounds?

  • I heard an excerpt from Pink Floyd’s ‘On the Run’ near the beginning...

I heard Nolan Horn. https://inception.davepedu.com/. But that’s not it. Looking into the Stockhausen as we speak.

  • Having listened all the way through, I have to say I really enjoyed this. Some of it reminded me of playing in a Lutoslawski orchestral piece at music college, conducted by the composer himself, with similar use of brass, although I was sitting in front of the trombones, so it wasn’t as pleasant...

Now it might kill you. Sadly.

  • Thanks for the good words @TheOriginalPaulB @zilld2017 @Philandering_Bastard @McD !
Yes - I feeded Soundscaper with lots of old and and new recordings. The old ones composed once upon a time with a Yamaha Sampler A4000, the new ones done with DesktopPC and 8dio-sample-libraries. Additional there are speech-recordings from RadioUnit AU and my daughter via mic.
Nice, what you supposedly have heard: Stockhausen inspired me anyway, Lutoslawski I hear a lot, Nolan Horn didn’t say me anything and the link doesn’t function.
Take care and don’t sit in front of trombones🥴😊!

  • nice. now I must see if I can try to figure out that UI for Soundscaper again.

  • Wow, even the very last few seconds were amazing!

  • 👍🏽🙏🏽🧔🏼
