Digitone / Cubasis 2 sync issue
Hi all.
Any digitone / Cubasis users?
I’m controlling Digitone with cubasis 2 fine from the start of the track, but when I skip ahead in Cubasis 2, the Digitone doesn’t sync up properly and plays out of time.
Any tips?
Thanks!
EDIT: maybe this isn't a DigiTone issue, maybe an issue controlling external gear with Cubasis.

I don’t have a Digi, Model Cycles though, and I’ve noticed timing isn’t perfect on C3 (haven’t tested with C2). I know the midi resolution on C2 is a lot smaller than C3, maybe has something to do with it? But even on like a 4 or 8 bar loop the timing isn’t 100% (have to nudge tracks when recording audio to timeline).
Timing seems to be ok when I pay the track from the beginning, but if, say, I don't want to wait 3 mins and just want to record something midway through the song, and I move the playhead later in Cubasis, the Digitone doesn't sync up again, it immediately falls out of time.
If you jump around multiple times does it get worse? Just curious, I don’t really have an answer though sorry
@iammane, @jameslondon74 Sync drift is an old known problem in C2 that has been reported maybe 100 times but Steinberg consistently refused to fix it.
Now in C3, they have just removed the offset correction completely 🤯
It’s not drift, it’s simply a break in the sync and it doesn’t automatically play in sync again. So I have to either play from the start or not at all.
