Reporting from the couch
Listening to some great stuff folks were producing with only iOS devices made me realize I was missing out on experiences that bring everyone to this place. Previously I only used iOS apps to make sketches that got finished on the computer. X months later, after many hours logged with the Air 2, this is what came out. 100 percent iOS
Everyone here knows this but I’ll say it anyway, we’re blessed with all the great tools we have. It’s crazy what’s packed into these oversized iPhones that can’t make calls.
I was also sparked by a couple collab threads that have since gone dormant. If anyone’s interested you can grab the stems here.

I was just swimming around in those Pad textures... nice work.
Any particular mastering FX at work here? MixBox? A special reverb app.
Very chill. Which apps did you use?
Thanks for listening.
@McD, mastering was the master strip tools in Cubasis 3 plus a little sprinkle of TB reelbus and tiny eq to roll off harsh highs. I was super sloppy with reverb. What you’re hearing is whatever reverb was on synth presets.
@Philandering_Bastard
-sequenced, arranged and mixed in NanoStudio 2. Mastered in Cubasis 3
-synths- synthmaster for pads, Lagrange (@Spidericemidas presets), drums my own samples sampled loaded into Slate.
Great track! Love the beats! 😃👍
Nice n chill
@ecamburn Happy New Year to you also. Good atmosphere on this. Have downloaded the stems to see the man behind the curtain
Thanks very much for listening all. Awesome @JohnnyGoodyear
I grabbed the stems, chopped them up, put them together again the wrong way and added some Noir making this:
Never remixed anything before so I hope thats ok. I really liked your track.
Sounds great, @ecamburn. When I read that you'd left all the individual reverbs on the synths, I thought it was going to be muddy, but it really isn't. That vocal-ish pad is lovely. And the drum programming is great.
@JudasZimmerman , would never have guessed it was the same track. Much darker and weirder. What's that percussion sound that sounds like a finger running across the teeth of a comb? Somehow, that's the sound that binds it all together for me.
I think that's the Ruismaker Noir track being played through Audio Damage Filterstation, Bomb Dropper preset (or near enough).
The other percussive bits are parts of the original track (KQ Dixie and Lagrange tracks) pitched down an octave. The main theme is sometimes doubled with processing from Replicant and Crushstation. Hats, tomroms and pads are unchanged but moved around a bit.
I really dig your track @JudasZimmerman. The piece had a cool dark tribal vibe. The pitched down stuff sounded great.
Thanks for listening @iansainsbury
@ecamburn and @JudasZimmerman loved your tracks. Both really making us dive in and take a nice trip. I love tracks that does that
