Riffer: how to delete the grey notes?

Hey,

I can't find out how to delete notes in Riffer. They grey ones.

  • Im not sure either. Hmm, when I pick a scale and then draw patterns.... its chromatic now perhaps after update, or I missed that new setting. I want to draw in notes the but have them all be in the scale. In that case the grey notes should not play I think...When I randomize with a chosen scale its in harmony.

Yes, the grey notes are not playing. But they are annoying imho still shown in the pattern window. They seem deactivated. But not deleted.

  • from what the developer said in @Gavinski live chat, that they stay there so you can place notes that you want to quickly add in later and remember ideas you had but aren’t sure yet... something like that. but for now they won’t delete

  • It’s like a sort of non-destructive editing hack. I found the inability to erase single notes really annoying to begin with, but I’ve found it’s less of an issue the more I use it. That said I make less use of the random and generative features since the last update added the extra sequencing capabilities.
