Visually Lining Up Tracks in MultitrackStudio (MTS)
I posted this at the MultitrackStudio User Forum but it doesn’t look like that forum gets much traffic. I have been using Audio Evolution a lot lately but I also like MultitrackStudio and was wondering about this:
Is it possible to visually line up tracks in MultitrackStudio so that all tracks are visible? I am enjoying MTS but I am accustomed to other DAWs that provide an overall view of the various MIDI tracks at once (with or without separate MIDI regions) and which show how they are lined up.
From what I can tell, it doesn’t seem that there is any way to get such an overall view in MTS, but I am curious if there are any alternatives. Is the Multi MIDI Editor the closest I will get to such an overall view?

If you tap the “Edit” button
You’ll see this menu
Two choices, “Song Editor” gets you this
Where both audio and midi are represented as audio events, and can be edited in bulk as blocks across all tracks
And this, the “Midi Editor” where each track’s midi events are shown. You can chose which tracks are represented, and can represent all at once. This view allows you to edit tracks individually while viewing all tracks. It’s a Pro Upgrade feature
The regular tracks view lines everything up (cursor matches across tracks) but seeing it all involves scrolling. The track order can be changed, so you can place tracks near one another.

MultiMidiMode is really good btw. Much nicer way of working.
Thank you very much for this helpful walkthrough. It’s too bad that the Song Editor doesn’t also give the option to have MIDI tracks displayed as MIDI instead of audio - that is really closer to what I’m looking for. But the other features are very good.
