Korg gadget+iMono/Poly midi latency problem
Hello everybody.
I tried using Gadget+iMono/Poly standalone through audiobus.
There is an evident midi latency that can not be solved what ever I do. Tried changing audio latency in every of the 3 apps without help.
The midi latency can be best experienced if there is opened Montpellier and Taipei/iMono/Poly side by side.
If I use Taipei’s onscreen keyboard the latency is evident too.
The reason for using the standalone app is the Monopoly’s arpeggiator; the Gadget’s arpeggio plays all 4 oscs at the same time while synth itself can play osc one after another, together with different lfo and variation settings.
Any suggestion is welcome.

Just tried to reproduce, the latency is no different from most other apps.
Edit: You're right, Gadget fails to compensate its own audio latency. The higher the audio buffer, the more delay is on the MIDI data sent.
BTW, the same issue applies to MIDI clock sync.
I can confirm that there is some latency. I did as explained, loaded both Montpellier and standalone iMono/Poly. I selected the 1 voice template and lowered the decay time on both synths. I set both synths to play the same pattern and the latency was easily audible.
I did the same with iPolysix, and though there is some latency there too, it is noticeable shorter.
In the attached file first is iMono/Poly and then iPolysix.
Another good reason why Montpellier and Lexington need the arp from the standalone.
That would really be a great update to those synths. Not only for Gadget, but also if they turn AUv3 one day
