Launchpad export possible???

I'd like to be able to use some of the loops within my purchased Launchpad soundpacks in CB3 or AP. I can't seem to find a way to export them within the app however. Any ideas, or is this not possible?

The only method that comes to mind is to play each loop individually (with dead air in-between) and record it as a song, then chop it all up outside of LP.

  • You can access the packs via Blocs Wave and export from there. It’s a little tedious but works alright.

    This.
Edit the project in Blocs Wave and export as an ableton set there (or as files).
    You kinda need both apps.

  • Thanks for the replies. I do have both apps, and I knew you could go from BW to LP, but not the other way. I'll give it a try.

  • I really wish there was an option in blocs to make the banks the vertical rows in LP.
To have all the variations of bass lines in 1 bank end up in 1 column as I would use them in LP.
Would make it easier to get variations of bass lines that work together rather than flipping and scrolling banks in BW

  • Export > Project Files > WAV is what I use - it'll take all your loops and such and zip em up. Then I usually open that in Audioshare and do additional trimming, renaming etc. Then you can use em wherever.

  • I'd quite forgotten that the IAP sound packs were shared between the two apps. Doh! :o

😄 That’s the way I was expecting it to work the first time I used it. Wouldn’t it be fine.

Hello! Does anyone know if this works anymore?

As far as I can see you can export from Blocs Wave to Launchpad, but not vice versa...

Yeah, Launchpad is designed to be the final place to perform. That's why I usually design my projects in Blocs Wave, then export to Launchpad.

You could also turn on the record button, or screen record option on your device, and record the sequences or loops you want, convert that to audio, then put it in a DAW like Blocs Wave, GarageBand, Cubasis, etc...

  • Ah, gotcha; I had hoped for something neater, but that makes sense. Thanks though!

No worries. Here's hoping for a better solution.
