Can't connect RME Babyface Pro FS to iPad Pro... any ideas?
What the title says. I've tried my Nucleum hub. I've tried going directly to the iPad with the USB-C to USB(B) cable. The unit powers on. I've switched between CC and PC modes... AUM just won't see the Babyface. I'm updating the firmware now... maybe that will help. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey, I think you need to connect it to a computer first and enable Class Compliant mode in the TotalMix settings!
@sharkytowers
Hold SELECT and DIM both and then power up your connected interface: going that way you enter the CC mode. Do this again and you are back in PC mode for your MacOS/PC.
maybe there is not enough power? Does the interface work fine when connected to a computer?
I use the non-pro version since years, and it is crucial to change the mode when you change the type of device. It is not necessary to connect to a computer to do the change.
Thanks for all your responses. Ended up being a shorted usb-c port. It will charge, but the slightest nudge and it drops from the RME or the hub. Replacement on the way. Using the RME on the laptop and the DA and headphone amp are very, very nice.
The same setup, Ipad Pro, BabyFace Pro FS and Nucleum works for me, even if the ipad is on battery- mostly - fine. Sometimes the RME TotalMix does not recognize the Babyface, than restarting the iPad helps...
Thanks @youwe It ended up being the USB-C port is shorting (I tripped over the power cord a few days after I first got the iPad Pro). It would power and charge fine, but the slightest touch and it loses connection with the RME and/or the Nucleum. New one on the way.
