I used to listen to his music when he produced under the ‘Flashbulb’.
Watching now, good to see a big youtube fish diving in
Here's a bit more...

After spending >10 years with iOS Music apps I do agree with the analysis...
LogicPro needs to come to iPadOS so developers have a reference platform to test their apps and plug-ins with!
Just because something is an AUv3 doesn't guarantee it will freeze/render and work properly at all sample-rates...
...and the insane sandboxing in iOS doesn't allow free communication between the host and the plug-in so a 'tight' plug-in integration with the host is currently not possible. (Ie. no way to drag data from the host to the plug-in and vice versa without a roundtrip to the Files.app pop-over, ie. Files.app pop-over is needed to browse the 'hosts' session folder and from there load a sample or other file to the plug-in if it supports drag'n'drop).
The current situation has made me loose interest in upgrading my iPad and focus more on Renoise and Logic Pro on my Mac with the iPad as a 'sound module' and 'sampler fodder'.
I will keep an eye on WWDC'21 (iOS15/iPadOS15) and hope Apple 'wakes up'
Cheers!
Made me smile when he spent the first few minutes of the vid qualifying what a critique is and is not. "If I say I don't like something that doesn't mean I'm saying it's bad." Made me think of this place.

Ben Jordan is one of the most talented musicians I know, I am a big fan of his music as Flashbulb (even as Acidwolf) even before Youtube was a thing.
After "big name of IDM" Richard Devine, we have another Drambo fan from this group
I am not a big follower of youtubers, I have at most 10 subscriptions, but I watch nearly every video from Ben Jordan (even though I am not planning to work on desktop nor to own any other hardware than MIDI controller). His videos always goes in depth so you always get to know a lot, yet they're pleasure to watch. It's strangely rewarding to see him use the exact apps I used all the time and mention Drambo as "quite possibly the most innovative music software or synthesizer in the last couple of years" which made him actually buy iPad pro
Already a thread “IPad for music production” discussing this, bit ignorant as to technicalities, not sure if there’s a way to link them.
Do you mean there is another thread where you already mention his “ignorance”? Like when he says that NanoStudio is good for recording guitar (??) or when he misspells AUM (a w m) while it seems it’s the first time he opens it?
Anyway, he seems to be willing to cover the iOS music video market too.
No. I meant I’m a bit ignorant as to if there’s a process to amalgamate forum threads when they overlap! I really didn’t think the guy seemed ignorant at all, he seemed a fairly enthusiastic iPad user who has some reservations about the platform. Didn’t find anything that controversial or provocative in the video(maybe bit click bait title but hey it’s YouTube).I posted a reply on the YouTube comments saying that I agreed with what he said but that the fun, for me, of making music on an iPad outweighs the technical difficulties, looks like it does for him too, he’s got four of them and loves Drambo. I likened it to Elektron users waiting years for Overbridge to work but still having what looks like a ton of fun with their gear.
Oh I see. How ignorant of me 😎
I have nothing against him actually just those couple of things that jumped into my ears/eyes.
But anyway, let’s move on. I finally found the other thread you mentioned.
