Ok so it’s not Scaler 2 but the good for a freebie. Add in landscape mode, hardware midi keyboard support, midi out, drag and drop onto timeline. Chord progressions styles groupings and we might be getting somewhere. At least the layout similar.

Do you mean real time MIDI out ? If so, yes, that's not available at the moment. You can however export to a MIDI file using the button on the top right .

Agree, nice free tool but I’d paya couple dollars for some enhancements that get me further faster.

  • I just downloaded and started playing around with it and it’s really quite cool. One thing I’d like is to be able to have more than 4 chords per chord progression, unless I just haven’t figured out how to do it yet.

Thanks for the feedback. This is just the start :-) We have roadmap of many features that we plan to implement in future releases.

Our first release only supports 4 chords, but we're working on it for future releases.

I love Scaler on the desktop, but I must say, I’m really going nuts with Cthulhu.

Yes, so it can be used as a midi source for Cubasis or any other iOS app that supports core midi input. Also would be great to be able to rotate the UI 90° on iPad. Good luck with development of the app, since it has potential.

  • Best feature of the app is the borrowed chords tab/section
