    lol.... I never thought I'd get someone ask to go back to the 2x view. I'm afraid once you've made an app universal there is no way to control whether it appears iPad optimised or not. However, if you just pinch outwards above and below the fretboard you can resize the fretboard bigger or smaller to your preference, give it a try.

    In regards to the down strums, not sure what you mean? If you mean when you have a chord toggled and just touch one fret to play a chord, this isn't down strumming, its starting all notes simultaneously. If you want to do strumming, why not toggle the strum bar and do it like that ?

    As for looper, I assume you mean the ability to record live sound and have it loop round on repeat? All I can just suggest is to use Loopy via Audiobus for this, having this in the app would go against everything I wanted to move away from! You could however do the following:

    • in the tab set the repeat mode to repeat between the number of bars you want.
    • press record
    • toggle on repeat mode again as this gets disabled when you start recording
    • play normally as you want, notes are quantized and recorded to the tab.
    • recording will overdub notes you play into the tab
