Setting up (Touch OSC / Rozeta) with AUM
So I can't for the all the sour skittles seem to be able to get Touch OSC or even Rozeta to control MIDI parameters for my Au plugins...? At least AUM recognizes Rozeta whereas it doesn't even show Touch OSC in the MIDI control panel. Strangely when I open Touch OSC, is says output to AUM...
So I insert the plugin, open a new midi, insert Rozeta XY. Go to MIDI control panel and route them via arrows. go to plugin and set the MIDI CC parapets and then go back to Rozeta XY and put the CC's on the axis. Am I missing something?
Cheers

The key is you need to route "AUM Destination" to whatever it is you want to control. TouchOSC is sending to a port it calls AUM. AUM is taking that port, which it calls "AUM Destination" to the plugin control.
If that's not detailed enough to get you fixed up, then please post a screenshot of your AUM routing.
Thank you wim. worked!
one more question for Touch OSC. how do you make a momentary button for 1 Midi CC Chanel?
Whats better Touch or Value?
should I be putting different button on different t channels? or keep Tham all Channel 1 and using notes?
Sorry, it's been too long since I used TouchOSC for me to remember. Hopefully someone else will chime in.
never mind figured it out. had to tweak some stuff in AUM.
If anyone is still out there… I still cannot get TouchOSC to work with Aum at all, nothing in the literature, this thread is all that seems to exist on the subject. I think surely it has been done….?
Have you tried Hexler direct, I'm sure they know what AUM is and might even have a copy. If AUM can handle it, Jonathan is more active on the AUM discord and you can ask him.
Hi. Are you clear on the Virtual MIDI port naming, as explained here? Once the messages reach AUM, it's pretty easy to route them.
It can definitely work with AUM. If you describe your attempted setup in some more detail I'm sure the issues can be resolved.
Thank you. I have a et of midi mutes for my mfb522 drum machine set up as a controller in TouchOSC, I hope to use it to control track mutes in octachron sending midi to the 522.
I have used this to control sequencing in ableton, but I hope to use the iPad to sequence and control.
