IR Convolution Reverb in Drambo? midi modulatable dry/wet IR reverb within cubasis? Jax convolutor?
Hello!
Is anyone aware of a way to configure an IR reverb such that the dry/wet parameter can be modulated via midi from within cubasis?
I know that cubasis has no midi learn~ BUT if a auv3 has internal midi routing it will work properly and receive incoming midi CCs~ I saw in the jax convolutor 'advanced midi' was planned for 2020, does anyone know if anything like this was ever implemented?
This could be achieved with an IR reverb within drambo, does anyone know if this is possible?
Conversely this could also be achieved if it were possible to host an AU within another AU that took allowed internal midi routing, I know that Drambo can only host auv3 in standalone and it's my understanding that this is a universal characteristic of auv3 that you cannot host an auv3 within an auv3
Anyway, if anyone has any ideas how I could setup an IR reverb within cubasis where the dry/wet parameter could be somehow modulated via midi I would love to hear any suggestions or ideas

FWIW, I have found JAX Convolutor not to be a good convolution option. It can be glitchy in situations where other convolution apps aren't. I gave up on it. And it hasn't been updated in a year.
THAFKNAR exposes the dry/wet parameter as an AU parameter that can be automated. Impulsation may also, but I don't own it. You could modulate the wet/dry of reverb in Drambo even if the reverb doesn't expose that parameter by setting it to completely wet and setting up a mixer component that takes the reverb output and crossfades it with the dry signal. You then just control that crossfade for wet/dry mix.
the advantage of thafknar is also that it is a stereo effect/you can use stereo IRs
@espiegel123 thank you for this~ unfortunately I am looking to control the dry/wet mix from within cubasis using an LFO and cubasis does not allow for midi learn... I'm trying to think of some work around that would let me modulate it otherwise... like I said, if thafknar or jax had internal midi routing (allowed you to assign CCs to params without using host assignment) this would work perfectly but I don't think either of those do offer internal midi routing unless I missed something.... if you think of any potential solutions to achieve this without midi learn please let me know
I don't know Cubasis well. Is its parameter automation only of parameters you change by touching the controls? One workaround is using Audiobus and/or AUM in conjunction with Cubasis.
---edit: i obviously also don't know cubasis as well as I thought---
(you could draw the modulation you want by hand and just copy paste it wherever you need it, could that be an option?)
you could do the same in cubasis by setting your convolution reverb as a send effect
