Nearest sounding drum synth to a Simmons Kit?
Hi guys - title says it all really. What's the best drum synth on ios that comes closest to capturing the sound of the mighty Simmons kits? No samplers please

My first though is SeekBeats which has the crucial sculpting elements via a very comprehensive and direct UI.

DM1 uses samples. Another vote for SeekBeats, also take a look at ElasticDrums which has a variety of synthesis models and can automate the parameters, including the all-important pitch envelope.
Patterning has a Simmons kit too.

Max is right, but Seekbeats is easiest to achieve the task. I dont think it ever got AU, but it’s still the best synth drum machine out there.
Better than Elastic Drums?
The sequencer isn't as good as ED, but the sound of SeekBeats is fantastic.
To me, yes. Seekbeats is much more straightforward and less clunky to program, and sounds better. Disclaimer: I haven't used Elastic Drums in years, but last time I did, ithe interface was still a non-intuitive mess. Plus Seekbeats plain sounds better and I could get a much wider range of sounds out of it very easily.

Thanks everyone - I might go with seekbeats as I intend to link it up to a midi drum Kit at some point - but the sds5 patch is very interesting too!
