Reasons why World Synth is AWESOME, and making a BEAT with it

I’ve been using World Synth for a little while, but decided to make a short video why I really like the app, and how I use it to make a beat in Garageband. It’s a really cool app for iPhone and iPad. It’s also on Mac and PC but I use iOS more often, haha.

Have you tried the app? And what are your thoughts about it?

Great video, great app but absolutely loath the subscription model.$29 per year ? If I forget to cancel for ten years that’s almost $300.00.. No thanks for now. But it really is good. Great even. I guess greatness has its price . Thanks for making this , though.. Imdisoensable for those using it .

Thanks. And I get what you mean about subscription based apps. It's one of the reasons why I really like Luma Fusion, as it does what I need without that barrier. I personally like World Synth considering it's free, and you can buy some sounds. I do hope their subscription sounds can also be unlocked as well.

That said, for what it can do for free, it's really great. Especially KMP, and layering.

With any iOS subscription, you can go to the subscriptions list under your Apple ID and hit “unsubscribe”, which will cancel future payments and allow you use of your paid-for subscription until the end of the period you already paid for.

It’s handy to do this early for anything you don’t want to auto renew until the end of time.

  • @Telstar5, I love this synth, too. And with a couple of inapp purchases, Kim good to go. Subscription is only an option. Can’t dis these guys for that.

Good presentation @seonnthaproducer. I think it should always be mentioned that it is based on AudioKit code. No AudioKit, no WorldSynth. Glad you are giving WorldSynth the visibility it deserves. I think it has a lot of features you don't mention... scales, I think, and drones.

  • Looks interesting. Screw subscription models forever.

  • Thanks @LinearLineman Means a lot. Learning a little more each and every day.
You're right. There's a lot of fantastic things in the app, and it's super underrated. And it's really cool how a small feature can completely change the way an app is used. Scales mode seems fun.
