MIDI in Patterning 1 and DM1 drum apps...into BM3.....
Hello.
I can sample audio from Patterning 1 and DM1 into BeatMaker 3.
I can sync tempo of DM1 with BM3 to sample clean cut bars in BM3.....but not sync tempo of Patterning 1 with BM3.
I cannot fathom out how to both play these drum apps midi or record and playback midi in BM3.
I do need to buy more up to date drum apps for sure.
Any solutions to midi issues above please?

Tried exporting a loop from Patterning 1...to Audio Share....just rendered as a load of garbage sound...same when retried with another file....
Only way to use DM1 and Patterning 1 with DAWs seems to be sample audio from them...

I think you must be setting up the sync wrong in Patterning. I have synced Patterning 1 with AUM, Xequence, Audiobus 3, Auria Pro. I haven't done
What sync options did you try in the the two apps?
Just checked sending MIDI Clock out from Beatmaker 3 to Patterning 1. Works perfectly.
Well, I always consider MIDI clock is iffy in iOS. I don’t have Patterning1 on my iPad anymore (moved to 2 pretty much for the MIDI pads), but Patterning2, BM3, and DM1 all have Ableton Link which is a more dependable sync.
MIDI Clock between Beatmaker and Patterning 1 is reliable and steady in my experience. Patterning 1 doesn't have start/stop when using Ableton link.
IAA sync also works between Beatmaker 3 and Patterning 1. I did a quick test and it was also solid.

You need to set up sync. You are just showing the MIDI mapping. You need to go to sync setup in both apps. Also, in BeatMaker, you need to load Patterning 1 into a pad as it’s plugin.
Thanks....I found the interapp sync in Patterning 1...and now BM3 records it and tempo syncing...Fab!
Theres no way to play the Patterning 1 samples in BM3 through midi?
Patterning 1 export just produces garbage...don’t know why it doesn’t work properly....

When you say patterning 1 export produces garbage can you say more about what you mean?
Patterning 1 doesn’t let you trigger individual notes via MIDI.
I just had a chance to test it. I couldn’t find any combination of settings that resulted in usable samples. I tried both individual patterns and songs and as individual parts, loops, and Ableton love set. The audio is terribly distorted.
iOS 13.7. Running on an iPad 6 at 44.1 k.
I’ve reported it on the Olympia Noise forum. Perhaps, you could report it there, too.
Heard back from the dev. It seems that iOS 12 or 13 broke this and since the app isn’t available for purchase any more, it can’t be fixed.So the solution is to capture the audio rather than use export

Not going to purchase version 2...
Will get auv3 drum app later this year.
