  • I guess its to preserve the save.

Not sure why they call it a 50% off sale when it isn't. Not for me anyway.

  • For me Crystals and Blackhole are the standouts. Others also good but depends what else you already own and what your needs are. For example if you have FAC Chorus the Eventide Chorus is not that essential. All quality fx though generally not cheap at the full price, 50 percent off is a good deal.

Maybe it’s not every country? It’s 50% in the US, but I don’t know about other stores.

Oh yeah, you gotta do it for the US. Fark everyone else.

Bought Blackhole, my very first Eventide :D :D ... and it sounds really good. I did buy after hesitating a long time Stratosphere the other day. I now kind of regret that, most because of their fucking preset issues. Blackhole comes with 80 presets and that is exactly 80 more than Stratosphere. And also, user presets can be shared between hosts, something BlueMangoo still have issues with (such a petty, their plugs are great and cheap in comparison, otherwise).

Gonna take some thinking on that Crystal thingy, it do sound interesting. Thanks for your input.

It's 50% here too, Sweden. I don't think they single out any country or region, check again.

Dog the stratosphere reverb has like 5 simple one-use knobs. You’re telling me you can’t dial in your own presets for what you want immediately? Get a grip.

It's 7 and you are saying it's not a very sensitive thing then, just a quick dial and you're there - and then I save my preset and wanna use it in another DAW and it's not there. Well you think what you think and I disagree. Simple as that.
Their presets also often go back to default and I have had endless mails and "Oh did we not fix that replies" . No need for 'get a grip' shit, things you pay for should work and have some presets so you can learn. They are completely alone in this behavior and lack of service to the user. Again though, I do like their products and have most but that's also part of the annoyance I feel.

  • Are Eventide apps heavy on cpu, would they run on iPad Air 1.Gen?

  • If I have 4pockets Vocal Soloist/Harmonizer, Mixbox, Micropitch and Discord 4 would Qvox be redundant for harmonizing/thickening vocals?

No they wouldn't do it deliberately. I'm pretty sure Apple and Eventide have no idea about the price of their products across the planet. They just set it in the US and have good faith that everyone else gets the same generous discount. If they knew that wasn't the case I'm certain they would be devastated for the inequality directed at their customers and rectify the issue immediately.

    50% in Finland

  • I don't see them saying it's a sale anywhere. It seems like the prices are lower than I remember them being. What's the normal price for their AU's?

Strange marketing to have a sale and not highlight it in big bold letters. Anyway, compared to their hardware or desktop plugin prices, the iOS prices are very low.

Not sure about the Air 1, but I was running 4 separate instances of Spring and 4 instances of Rotary in apeMatrix, and the CPU for a 2018 iPad Pro was less than 30%. That also includes 4 instances of AudioKit House and 3 instances of Rozeta.

  • Thx for the reply jblock. I grabbed Black Hole. Love the sound. Graphics are wonky but cpu looks good. (Three instances in AUM)

Why does the ribbon adjust all knob values when you press left or right ribbon to make a setting? You seem stuck with just a ribbon setting ( patch ) If you have to adjust ribbon with effect on. The left and right square to make a value save just turns knobs to min or max. Wats the point in that?

The left and right squares are strictly for programming the ribbon. Watch this Qvox tutorial starting at 3:51 and let me know if you have any questions. Note that in addition to programming Ribbon settings with the buttons, you can also do so by manually moving the white and blue dots that can be found on every controllable parameter. I'd also like to add, the Ribbon settings can be saved with the current settings as a preset.

    Hi. Thanks. Makes sense.

    Cheers Orville.

  • You gotta buy all the apps. So new releases are as simple as buying.

Crystals looks interesting but can its pitch shifter be used standalone at all?

In the time it took to post that, you could’ve instead learned and mastered the 7 (my mistake) one-function per knob knobs

  • Will Eventide release any more of these H9 plug-ins for iOS? I would really like to see some delays.

  • And I would kill for an interpretation of the H3000 Factory plugin more up to date with H9 algos on iOS!!

I mean just simple and plain pitch shifting of the input signal. No reverb, no delay. Thanks!

Ok. That were what I were thinking when buying qvox also. Will check.

  • Obviously not a youtube reviewer. Eventide might be like pal, we are trying to sell apps.

You know pitch shifters obviously. Qvox. I guess Id add to Ripplemaker style app maybe or adjust pitch of recorded audio. lol

Crystals seems to have a tremolo effect. Sure I switched settings off.

Works good with skiiid. Pitch shift, reverb and delay on one app or ribbon.

  • Mononoke sesh lol

    50% in Finland

Removing the bundles and not doing the same discount is a double whammy for me.

  • Thanks a lot @sigma79! That's not too bad actually.
Indeed it sounds a bit like a "tremolo" effect and I guess a "real" pitch shifter by Eventide has yet to come. Maybe this year. Will think about it 👍🏼
