music video apps - bpm grid, synced effects?

edited January 2021 in General App Discussion

I did a little clip for a friend's birthday a few days ago and noticed, damn, video editing is also a lot of fun. Got lumafusion and love it. but I wonder if there are good video editing apps that are more aimed at music videos.

manually lining up everything in luma really is a lot of work. copy/pasting keyframes within a clip only works with workarounds,... a video editor that had a bpm grid instead of a millisecond grid, that would be really nice. atm i help myself by just importing a clicktrack, so i see the bpm grid in the waveform...

also, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a nice app that could act as a collection of "gadgety" effects that could just save work. for example, a shaking effect, sure i could create one with 50 keyframes, but there must be an easier way, just export the clip to another app, add an effect, put it back into luma. but I drown in the numer of apps in the app store and wonder if there are some that you use and can recommend?

Also, what is it with photo/video editing folks and the subscription models? every little shitty one trick wonder app tries to push you towards a 10$ monthly subscription to unlock features. I'm so happy this is so uncommon in music production apps...

edit: to answer the 2nd part of my question. I think the answer is capcut. I have no idea why this app is free, but it's great!
