Notepad 12 fx problem between live recording with internal audio
Hi, I'm totally new here (from Holland). I have a problem with my new Soundcraft Notepad 12 fx.
I want to record my live guitar playing with an internal mp3 in my computer. I use a DAW with this (Audition) for many years now but now there 's a problem.
My Notepad is connected to my computer with the usb- cable. So far so good.
Both my audio signals (guitar and mp3) are levelled.
But starting playing my guitar while mp3 is playing, the guitar every time pushes the mp3 away and this sound slowly comes back again when I stop playing. This is no option for recording both.
What is wrong here?

@theplayer Just to be clear, this is on your computer, right? Is it Windows or Mac?
Since the mp3 goes away and comes back slowly, this sounds like some sort of compression, but it makes no sense. Could it be a change caused by an update to your Audition DAW?
My Audition hasn't been updated for 20 years! It's still fine as it is. When I disconnect the usb cable and use a Behringer UCA202 for the same ASIO purpose it's working fine
