Juno-60 style app on iphone?

are there any Juno 60 emulator apps on the iphone?

I would say Zeeon comes close. The chorus is a big part of the Juno's sound and Zeeon has a very nice and highly tweakable one.

  • Tal UnoLX !!! It’s a great juno60 emulation

    ouch!

  • Bump. I'm curious as to what other apps besides Zeeon and Tal U No are out there that can emulate that "Juno sound". (Disclaimer - I don't have GAS. Just asking in case I have the synth already.)

  • Roland Zenbeats has some Juno patches that are quite decent.

Ah, Zenbeats, hehe. That's one app I don't really gel with. I think I may be able to elicit some sort of Juno chorus effect from FAC Chorus. I'll feed an analogue synth (Zeeon most likely) into that, and that should get me close. (Then again, I could be wrong, and I'm open to other suggestions.)

Never underestimate the power of Poison-202 :sunglasses:

  • Syntronik has a Juno-60 and works on the iPhone.

  • J_NO Chorus says it works on iPhone. So any other synth app plus it might be an option too.

Excellent! I got that app already, so I'll have a play with that.

I'll have to check that out. Looks like I already have the base Syntronik app, but not sure if I have the full or not. (If not, I certainly don't have $80 to spare, lol.)

Ah excellent! An app I forgot I have, but will certainly download to my iPhone and have a go with it. Maybe in combination with Poison-202. :)

  • Nlog or Sunrizer, not sure which one still is available if any.

I know Sunrizer still is available, and it's on my iPhone already. :)

  • Sunrizer can do some good Juno sounds with ease and has an iPhone version.

NS2’s Obsidian with J_NO Chorus maybe? (seeing as I know how much you like NS2)

Got J_No. Will experiment in NS2 once I return to that app. Currently in Koala, and J_No sounds great when sampling in a one-shot onto a pad. 😎

    Can't they be bought individually?

  • Baby Audio's free 'Magic Switch' is a pretty nice Chorus that complements any synth quite well, it's also part of Super VHS.
The built-in chorus in Poison-202 is no slouch either...

Syntronik is a ROMPLER rather than an emulator. So, it is not the same as
an app where you can create a patch from scratch with control over all elements or real-time manipulation off all elements.

So soundwise it might even be closer to real Juno-60 then. maybe OP wanted this but didn't communicate it? If you don't know about romplers you probably search for emulators first.

A romper will only be closer if OP is only interested in the patches they sampled and doesn’t change synth parameters while playing.

You can tweak parameters though, just not in full detail like on the hardware or an actual emulation.

Those are the parameters for a filter and envelope applied after the stored wavetable sound. For example, if the sampled patch had a fast filter cutoff envelope, you cannot "open" the filter. It's sort of like sending a synth output through another synth. If a patch includes the raw osc tones, you might come close.

  • I'm thinking I'll use what I got (and didn't know I already had as well lol). :) Syntronik looks cool, but yeah it is a rompler. Maybe @GospelMusicians will release a Juno 60 bank someday. 😉

Meanwhile, I'm just looking for an emulation on my iPhone, and looks like I have a few decent choices and routes to take. ❤️

You can tweak SOME parameters. Nothing like having all of a synths knobs and parameters to tweak while you play and also
you are limited to by the patches they chose to sample.

People that don’t tweak a synth’s controls while they play or don’t design their own patches might not appreciate the difference between using a rompler and something that emulates a synth.

  • Maybe it’s just cos of the layout but I like using Lorentz for that sound along with fac chorus. Plus the resonator adds extra fun

Disagree as I used to actually have one of the first Juno 60’s. It was only single oscillator w a chorus where as Zeon. is dual oscillator. To me it’s a must bigger and better sound

I only had a Juno-6 but apart from the presets, the sound should be identical?
