Quick felt piano demo
Pianobook JM felt piano in Audio Layer +ProR.
I’m hooked on Audio Layer now

Nice sounds for solo piano ruminations. I hope they folks that have Rhodes instruments target this sample type soon. It's a great sound. It doesn't wake the baby.
Short staccato notes are also great with a Felted Piano to make it sound percussive like a Kalimba/Marimba hybrid... somewhere between metal and wood with a gentle thump.
@McM this is really nice! Would you mind explaining how did you import the EXS24 instrument into AudioLayer? I remember trying one a while ago without success
Yeah! Audiolayer and Pianobook are great friends in some occasions.
Great sound! Love the noise and pedal tones ! 🙌🏼
As @NoiseFloored mentioned. Would love to hear one two lines how to setup the EXS version in audiolayer. Only used waves so far to import - thanks in advanced
Did you saw the winter choir (is it called?!?) it’s a decent samples version of it.
@NoiseFloored it was super easy actually. Maybe they’ve updated the app to make it better?
I downloaded the zip file from piano book
unzipped the file
moved the EXS file to audio layer import folder in files app
move the folder with all the samples into the audio layer import folder in files app
then selected the EXS file in audio layer import folder and audio layer opened and imported the instrument.
Made sure there was no subfolders in samples folder. I think in the manual is says Audio Layer looks one level deep. But basically I just followed the manual instructions.
I have noticed in some of the piano book instruments, that some small things need tweaks like sample start positions or other small things. Can’t complain since it’s free!
Just followed this...might have to move the samples into one folder, if they are in subfolders. JM felt piano was super simple though.

Thanks man!
I will definitely try this too!
@McM got it, thanks!
@mcm thanks man, did it exactly like you said and it worked like a charm! What a wonderful website! And what a beautiful piano!
The winter instrument is called winter voices. A cool pad sort of thing to lay under the piano![;) ;)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
@david_2017 great!
Yep, I’m trying out quite a few instruments on that website. Loving it so far. Also going to try and download a Kontakt instrument and try to build an Audio Layer instrument with just the samples.
Wow, good find on this site. Several of these are keepers.
Found it on the Audiobus Forum
searching for exs24 instruments to try on the iPad.

As you said there are some samples that have a silence at the beginning and need to be trimmed. I don’t know but maybe auditor is able to batch trim sample files?
Not sure...I don’t own auditor.
Yes, Auditor will do this nicely.
