Simple note latch control via AUv3 MIDI
This seems like a really basic ask but I can’t find an app that does it - I’m looking for a simple means of latching notes in AUv3 synths on a per synth basis.
Some synths can do it internally eg Lorentz but most don’t or the latch applies only to ARP eg iSEM.
Rozeta toolset can latch AUv3 synth ARPs and also allows notes/chords to be held but only for up to 2 bars max (I think) - it cannot hold notes indefinitely.
I use AUM and the AUM inbuilt keyboard has a latch but if I have multiple synths I don’t want to play the same latched notes on them all.
Also I much prefer to use my external midi controller to play notes. Any ideas?
Furthermore, if there was an easy way to move between different (latched) notes on per AUv3 synth basis I’d be all ears.
Any kind of workaround suggestions at all.

You could build something with MIDI Designer or with Mozaic. These days most folks prefer the latter. Just address each synth on its own MIDI Channel.
Thanks @boberto - would that work with 'target' synths that don't have their own latch? Just wondering if those apps only able to call/trigger functions that exist in the target AU instrument (hope it's not the case)

You said note values. The two ways to hold them would be to set an on/off toggle with a MIDI note send, or, if the app supports it, to send a MIDI Sustain message (I think that is standard CC64, but don’t quote me on that).
Both of the programs I mentioned let you make your own MIDI control screens so, if you can do it with an external controller, you can do via an onscreen button you design instead.
Got it I think - thanks
