3 band freq. eq with old flavor
Would like to build a template for Aum ...each channel with a eq on it. And I am wondering what app would give me that old flavor of an old Tascam audio mixer. There are some lo fi saturation apps out there...but I’m curious what you guys are using for a “smudgy” eq
P.s. not interested in the cleanest eq....colorful is good and also noise 🙂 like tape noise

There's a basic 3-band in iFXRack, might offer some color as well.
I also have a 3-band parametric ChannelEQ AU app. It's likely pretty clean tho'.
Red Rock Sound has EQs modeling some classic console units, but they may be more sophisticated than you want. The EQ-A or EQ550 might suit, depending on your taste.
Right now, I'm using 6144, but it's way off-scale from what you seek.
Thanks a lot ! I’ll take a look!
One note about 6144: despite being more than 3 channels (and you could certainly use it as such) it’s like nothing else I’ve ever tried in the EQ world: it’s so smooth and so generous in its ability to add warmth and gently shape frequencies.
There’s a lot of magic in this one.
It might be the mentioned flavor you’re after.
Channel Equalizer from Ryo Togowa, a very simple straight forward eq.
LRC5 from Neon Silicon which was designed to intentionally
colour the sound and ChannelStrip from Audio Damage.
Use these alongside any of the Tape Cassette versions
from Caelum Audio to apply compression and noise.
That’s exactly the combo I’m using per channel...I’ll take a look at lrc5. Thanks!
Thanks Proppa! I’ll take a look into it
Red Rock Sound is the winner for me!!! Just amazing! Thanks guys!
Which one did you end up with? EQ-A?
Yes. I'm wondering too. Please let us know.
I got eq-a and the air eq ( can’t remember the name of it). Eq-a is awesome....the range of the freq. is large and it opens/close really well... and yes it’s colored and to me years adds a bit of reverb .
Ohh...and I got that filter too....> @uncledave said:
Thank you!
