Cubasis 2....export midi file....

Hi all,
I have a midi pattern to export to my midi files in Cubasis 2....so I can then import into another Cubasis 2 project...
I don’t want to do a mix down of a looped area or indeed project.
I cannot see how to simply export a midi file...Am I thick...or is it this a limit of the DAW?
Thanks...

Is the issue how to export a MIDI file for the project or how to limit the export to just a selection?

I think it only knows how to export the entire project. You could create a temporary project with just the MIDI you want to export, I guess.

  • I made a copy of the project, delete everything except that loop and created a mixdown to midi...

  • Thanks....it looks like it doesn’t export individual midi files...without a workaround...as in loop an area, etc.....

  • New track, midi loop at start position, solo track, mixdown midi selected. Wish Steinberg would just enable export of clips.
