Why not just have four synths parts?
Very appealing. And $399 seems like a good price.
$399
The MIDI tracks 3 & 4, can control hardware and route that to the Audio inputs and run that through the internal FX. Nice!
I wonder if you can change presets or patches between patterns. Like on elektron and Roland grooveboxes. I don't know too much about the circuits except that people love em.
With the original Circuit you can switch sessions on the fly (manually or sequenced with external midi) that have different presets and accomplishes more or less the same thing. Being able to sequence this internally (either sessions switching or presets on patterns) would be sweet!
Not even finished watching and I know I'm buying the F outta this with the external input part.

And the Circuit Rhythm coming this summer: https://novationmusic.com/en/circuit/circuit-rhythm.
Novation have a 14 video playlist up now introducing Tracks...
Wow, I just noticed the two input jacks. That makes it a perfect iPad companion. Even more so than mk 1. The first one required a mixer, with this you just plug your iPad audio into the circuit. Beautiful.
I hope session recall buttons send program change like mk 1. I used to use them to load circuits and Audiobus sessions all with one tap.
Much more interested in this !
Wonder if it can use USB-C to hook it to an external display (USB-C->HDMI) for sample-editing?![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I've done enough sampling without a display (My Korg ES-1 has 4 digits) and it's not something a long back to...
My issue with the first circuit was that is was essentially a preset machine, but it could only hold a tiny number of presets. Anyone have an idea if that's changed? (I see "hundreds of presets") on the marketing, but not clear how many of those you can access without hooking up a computer.
It accepts a memory card.
Build quality looks good. I could never get over plasticy toy like frame of the original circuit.
There are many editors on iOS for the synth engine for Circuit, and it's very deep and we'll structured.
I'll get Rhythm as a buddy for my OG Circuit, since that has inputs too.
You'll be happy to hear Project recall does send out program changes on Channel 16, same as the OG.
A pack can contain up to 64 Projects, 64 Samples & 128 Patches.
A micro SD card can hold 31 Packs.
Dope. Thanks for that. I'm the kind of that hates the idea of plugging hardware into a computer if I can help it, so that sounds pretty solid.
This would certainly have been nicer to have over the original circuit. Rechargeable battery is great as is the extra project storage. Could have been sweet as a commute device on the train. Doesn’t seem to have stem export though, does it?
Can it record audio?, I see the inputs but there’s no video on that unless I missed it.
Does anyone know if it serves as an audio interface?. The Digitakt is class compliant but you can’t access the inputs to record. It’d make this unit very attractive if it served as an interface.
I don’t think it can record audio but sounds like the inputs can maybe have fx applied to them. (?). I guess it is like mixer ‘tracks’.
Inputs on tracks can't sample, on Circuit Rhythm they will allow sampling. Tracks inputs are for processing audio.
I'm surprised they went with Lithium battery. Those will stop working at some point. I use rechargable Eneloop batteries in OG Circuit. Works great, and they can be replaced.
Wow. So much win in this update. Feel like they really nailed it. Only bummer for me is that it's still limited to 8 patterns per part. I really thought that they'd blow that up to 16, 32 or 64. Being able to set the clock division per pattern should help though. And scenes is a brilliant plus. Now if we could transpose scenes...![B) B)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/sunglasses.png)
A pattern can now also be up to 32 steps in length.
Yes, that’s a pity. I’m pretty sure eneloops lasted me more than 3 hrs.
@syrupcore I’m sure they’ll roll out some updates just like with mk1. I’m very tempted.
