Signal Routing Jamup Pro Problem
I just entered the IOS arena this weekend. Bought a Scarlett 6i6, a CCK for iPhone5, Audiobus, etc. My setup has a mic into channel 1 of 6i6, guitar cord into channel 2 of 6i6, out of the 6i6 to iPhone via USB/CCK. I have outputs 1 & 2 from 6i6 going into separate channels on a Mackie DL1608 mixer. I am using Loopy HD on the iPhone and all is great. Only guitar is going into the guitar channel on the mixer and only mic is in the mic channel. No cross talk (except for a little mic bleed). So far so good.
The problem is: When I add Jamup Pro to the input in Audiobus the Mackie mixer now shows guitar signal coming in on both input channels. I have specified the right channel (guitar) as the input channel inside the Jamup app and I can see that when I use the mic it does not register in Jamup. So I think I have that part setup correctly. Does anyone know what I may be doing wrong? Is Jamup's output going to come out both channels no matter what? Or am I going to accidentally figure out that this is caused by just some of the effects (reverb, delay, etc.) in Jamup that are designed for stereo output?
Just so it's clear (as clear as this beginner can make it)
Audiobus IN = "System Audio Input" + Jamup Pro
Audiobus FX = nothing (yet) - (I tried putting Jamup here but didn't get any signal into Loopy HD so I stuck Jamup back in the input)
Audiobus OUT = Loopy HD
I want Jamup to effect only one channel and leave the other channel alone.
thanks for looking.
