Au icons all orange after update
Anyone getting orange icons on the au labels after update on iPad Air 3 ?
Comments
A reboot will fix it. It will come back occasionally and you'll need to reboot again. It's an iOS 14 thing that Apple still hasn't fixed (or even acknowledged despite many reports as far as I know).
Thanks Wim, tried turning off the iPad but still the same when I turned it on again. It’s a bit of a pain
Did you power it down or just put it to sleep?
Powered it down no good still the same, it did this before and I can’t remember exactly how long it took before going back to normal, I will keep a track this time and let you know, thanks again
Try loading an IAA instrument, even if just temporarily.
After, try looking for the AU icons.
Mine came back after loading an arbitrary IAA instrument, no longer all orange.
@thestonedrummer, you need a hard reboot, not a power down, I think. Hold down home button and on-off simultaneously until Apple logo shows. Wait for reboot.
If it's GarageBand show IAA Instruments first and then AUv3's that will trigger rebuilding the icon cache...
Thanks so much guys, did exactly what you said to do Samu and all my labels are back - forever grateful lads 🙏
