Check this price for just a small vintage console
Another great gone. Unfortunately, many of the people who have even influential in popular music and production since the 50s and 60s are at that age where we're seeing this happen on am almost weekly basis now.
A potential buyer would maybe find it a lot cheaper to just pay DDMF to make them a digital emulation lol
A brilliant man. For large format console desks it's either API, SSL or Neve. His entire life story is really compelling and I recommend watching any of his in depth interviews on YouTube.. excellent stuff. Plus, after Neve Designs, he also gave us a little company called FocusRite and invented the motorized fader system. RIP.

The insane thing is that he was 100% hands-on with the day-to-day stuff right to the end. With all his achievements he could have coasted years ago. Absolutely driven by audio invention. A genius and legend.
