Apps with native midi hardware integration
So far, LK provides midi mapping integration with some midi controllers .
Atom 2 will be also offering integration .
Are out there any other apps that offer hardware integration?
For me, this is very important and I’m amazed major daws, like Zenbeats don’t offer this...
Comments
Yes, Launchpad integrates perfectly with Launchpad Mini MK3 since they’re both Novation! You can create your own sound packs for Launchpad in Blocs Wave.
...and Roli works with Noise, of course.
Akai MPDs work with iMPC.
Rotor works with Rotor controllers...
If I’m not mistaken many Korg Nano products integrate with Korg Gadget. 🤔
I was under the impression that Zenbeats was integrated with Roli to some extent
I think I’ve run out of integrations 😂
I found this: https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/37458/roland-zenbeats-roli-blocks-integration
Oh and Roli has integration with SWAM Instruments and GeoShred Pro.
More Roli integration!

More GarageBand integration: https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/m-audio-icontrol
I think this is a very difficult ask for app providers, due to the variety of gear, all using various schemes. Especially as you have legacy controllers, current ones, and future developments. Of course hardware vendors will support their devices in software. For computers, the hardware makers, like my Nektar, offer drivers to integrate common software. But that's likely not possible in iOS. Where possible, you can MIDI Learn your controller in your specific software. Or use something like MIDIFire to remap controls.
http://secretbasedesign.com/apps/infinite-looper.html has basic launchpad integration.
Gadget integrates with the nanokontrol series.
Auria supports any hardware with Mackie HUI control built in.
I hope NKS goes iOS one day 🙏🏻
Actually we might see Ableton and NKS on mobile one day with these new M1 chips...
Wow...had no idea about a couple of those ... what is Rotor? And what does Roli have to do with Roland? I would rather see Mc 707 controlling Zenbeats
Rotor is the newer app from Reactable. The original Reactable used Microsoft Surface technology to create a modular synthesis environment on a multitouch surface along mechanical widgets that the user used to manipulate sound. Rotor allows for a mobile version of the table experience that offered optional small hardware knobs that users placed on top of an iPad to manipulate sound! Very cool stuff that didn’t catch on as hoped. The Rotor controllers were never in stock 👎🏼

Roli MPE controllers (Lightblock, Seaboard) connect to Roland Zenbeats for a 5D control experience.
Thanks...that rotor thing looks very appealing though
Drambo has extensive midi controller support, not only for knobs, sliders, switches and pads but also for patterns and transport control. It supports absolute and relative/incremental MIDI controller messages, MIDI Note, MIDI CC and (Bluetooth) keyboard mapping and lets you adjust control ranges as well.
You’re welcome 😊 Is too bad the Rotor controllers have not been restocked. Seems like this company has stopped operating or something.
Groovebox integrates with ALL Launchkeys, and Launchpad app integrates with ALL Launchpads, LaunchControl and Launchkeys not just the LP Mini MK3
Thank you @AndyPlankton, that’s awesome to know! I will be playing with my Launchkey and Launchpad tonight! 🤩
Also , Arturia SparkleLE integrates with iSpark app
true
There is also a totally left field approach which are Tuna Knobs.

Regardless the price , I'm afraid they won't have much resistance and don't seem stable enough , so I doubt about the actual feeling
@Korakios
Have you tried them out? as I was considering getting them purely for experimenting.
No ,if they where cheap I'd grub some , but for this price I don't wont to risk it!
@Korakios
The prices are much cheaper in Europe than here in the U.K.
They don't sell direct to the U.K anymore.
