Word Game App to help creativity?
Hello good people. I’m trying to find a good word game app that might help me exercise my brain more when it comes to words .... I’m trying to be more creative with lyrics and feel that I need to exercise the lyrical part of my brain more and I’m thinking a good word game app might help
I was wondering if anyone knew of a good word game app ? I’m open to all suggestions- doesn’t have to specifically be about creativity. Just something that exercises the brain
Thank you 🙏

Opps-“ might help” at the end of paragraph one.... think I’ve just proven my own point 😁
There’s a game of the Countdown TV program.
Oh really cool . Will take a look . Thank you 🙏
Word Up Dog, by Northway Games Corp. ;-)
Not a game. Rhymer’s Block

Thank you so much. Gonna check these 🙏
Also not a game, but a writing tool: Word Palette:

Brilliant thank you 🙏
I like the feature in WordFlex where it drifts you through an endless starfield of random words.
Thank you 🙏
Certainly cool but almost 1Gb for words is a bit much
Read more fiction, would be my advice.
Also, the internet’s full of free pdfs that you can send to note-taking apps - I sometimes do Guardian crosswords in Notability, writing on top of them with the Pencil.
Trying to get some cryptic chops these days, but they’re tricky. Which I guess is the point.

Crossword puzzles are my go to.

This. I think I could compete in tournaments and have a decent chance of winning by now.
Not a game, but Creative Writer is good for coming up with unique lines that you can then chisel into something. It has lots of different packs of types of writing too (quotes, poetry, love, conversation, cooking, etc). It’s fun and worth it. It has helped me on a few occasions. You can randomly slam on a few words and see what you get, or be more selective as you go along trying to fill in your own lyrics, either way gets good results.

And don't forget that Wotja has a built-in cut-up engine which I think is fully functional in the free version of the app. The 2021 version will even speak your generative text aloud.

I quite like TwoWords
Read some Joyce for an example of maximum creativity with a large vocabulary. Or read anything by Melville out loud. No one understands the musicality of American English better than Melville. He’s like the original rap artist.
