Audiobus, Xequence, AUM, audio editor, plugins: The Hunter in the Night Sky

Orion and its movement somehow MIDI-fied into scale and temporal structure.

Latency was set to 2048 frames, but still recording and mixing had to be done separately, because Pipa uses crazy amounts of resources. With resource-hungry TB limiter in addition and just very few other plugins, it did not work at the same time.
The field recordings were put together in Hokusai and played with sEGments.

Still looking for an audio editor (other than Auria) with

  • multiple tracks
  • easy import/ export
  • time stretch
  • auv3 support
  • sidechain (or multiout and timeline sync in AUM).

If there are any hints how to create a better sound quality, that would be very helpful. Thanks in advance for any pointers!

  • I really loved it... Digging the mix of pipa with field recordings. What's that bass-y sound towards the end? It made an interesting contrast to the rest... which is awesome.

I struggle with mastering, no pointers from me, sorry  If I get to your level where everything fits well, I will be happy

  • Thanks very much for taking the time to comment! :) The sound is probably the motorcycle in the Cymatics - LIFE - Motorcycle.wav file from one of their packs free to download. I enjoy to use samples I recorded myself, so I know where they are from, they remind me of the place, but I have no good library system to find them when "needed".
The sound was slightly adjusted. Actually the ending is the reverse of the beginning, it is stunning how similar many sounds are both ways. Or maybe a bit earlier towards the ending, I used an adjusted preset inside FRMS, nice app btw..
