Ape Matrix questions

I’m eying up Ape Matrix as an alternative to AB3/Aum solutions but before I pull the trigger I’d like to know:

  1. Will loopy load in the output slot?

  2. Can sessions be loaded via midi commands?

  3. Is IAA loading reliable. I.e. do apps load automagically or do they need to be tapped to load?

    I don't think you can use Loopy in apeMatrix without bussing it in/out from another host, as it's not listed the FX slot or instrument.
    I also rarely use IAA anymore but considering Loopy Pro is coming soonish then surely AU Loopy will be the way to go anyway? :)

    Apematrix is great in many ways, but it does not play well with Loopy at all. Stick with AUM/AUDIOBUS/LOOPY.

    @supadom I've not used Loopy with apeMatrix, but I agree with Carnbot that I don't see it in the list of available apps, so I can only assume you'd have to use AudioBus to access it.

    That being said, I've had ZERO issues with IAA in apeMatrix. Use it all the time for the Lumbeat apps and it's fine.

    Trick question: There are no output slots in apeMatrix

    Loopy loads in apeMatrix, but you can't route audio to it. Loopy works best in AudioBus.

    1. Can sessions be loaded via midi commands?

    I don't think so. There are three matrices, though, and you can switch between these.

    1. Is IAA loading reliable. I.e. do apps load automagically or do they need to be tapped to load?

    IAA works as well as anywhere, which is to say unreliably.
