I have some problems watching the video on facebook, do you have it on YouTube too?

    Worked perfectly, thanks!

No link to your Mozaic patch? 😅

Sorry. I got rid of it along with Mozaic when Mozaic ceased to be of use to me. It was more a proof of concept thing. If a more flexible environment comes along I may re-implement it.

That said, sure, picking a different scale to play against when an oddball chord comes along, is a terrific technique. It's just not as common as sticking to one key.

I think you must relate to my wish to change scales on the fly; yours is the only Mosaic script that has those 4 pads to quickly make changes. Hint: more of those would be nice!

P.S. You shouldn't be apologetic about anything about this discussion. Topics such as this always bring out interesting ideas and opinions. B)

Ha! I think I'm just overcompensating against my natural sarcasm.

You can do this without the preset pads, at least for the scales that Mozaic supports (not for customized scales). Just send the right CC value to the AU parameter for Knob 1 for the root, and Knob 2 for the scale. You'll need to get familiar with AUM's AU parameter mapping if you're not already though.
