Daft Punk Breaking Up
I am, as the kids would say #devastated.

Two guys quit job.
Who makes a 8 minutes video about splitting up? Sounds like some publicity thing.
This seems like a publicity stunt as @ecou said. They ain't really did shit since Random Access Memories in 2013 and are probably trying to recapture relevance before releasing a new album/EP/single.
That video was made years ago. They just posted a clip from Electroma
That would fizzle so hard in this day and age. People barely care when real stuff happens now heh.
Shoulda happened years and years ago. Hot take!
Two solo careers?
Who gets to be Punk and who is stuck as just Daft?
Lol. 🤣
@Liquidmantis - post of the day!
GOLD!
Beautiful.
If they are tired of doing it, why don’t they just franchise the thing?
For their investment, franchisees would receive the helmets, samples, templates, patterns, etc.
Who?
I read that the real reason is they don't like having to wear face masks because of Covid-19.
“Which one’s Punk?” (you all know the reference…)
Their best track:
James Murphy should throw a farewell party at his house !
Haha! Great track that
Now someone go make this with Swam Brass ✌️
I love Daft Punk, but they haven't really released anything since 2013, or am I mistaken?
They always took years to make their albums, so that isn't really so weird.
I just reviewed Robot & Frank (2012) this morning about half an hour ago (and I mention Daft Punk at the end):
Great buddy movie, I’d forgotten all about it, I may watch it again now, thanks!
Does sound good and I enjoyed your delivery too 👍. Spoiler alert wouldn't have gone amiss though 😂
Thanks for the reference. Great movie. Not sci-fi at all.
Feels like a classic “ I’m leaving Facebook for a while” post 😂 however i left Facebook without warning and don’t know if those still exist
Could be!
Although maybe this could also be to get out of a shitty outdated contract. The world has changed a lot since they started with olde doge mask. So perhaps doing this lets the label(s) crawl back competing for a whole new modern deal.
Good article here illustrating just how influential Daft Punk were.
