L7 Live Looper not linking to Audiobus
Hi.
Am missing a setting? L7 Live Looper is not linking to Audiobus when I drop it into the ouput slot.
Also, is there a trick to hide/show the little side tab? Is tricky for me.
Help appreciated & Cheers

To work around an OS bug, Audiobus somet8mes needs the user to tap to launch standalone apps. The Audiobus palette can get pulled out from the side when it is hidden by tapping at the screen edge and swiping slightly.
Start Koala before you start Audiobus and it should be fine.
What @espiegel123 said for exposing the side bar. There's no real way to describe it, you just have to experiment to get the right feeling.
Hmmm.
Not sure what Koala is other than a typo for L7 Live Looper.
I've tried doing those things but it is still not linking.
I've offloaded the app, reinstalled, done a restart... still not linking.
Any one else have any ideas?
thanks
What do you mean by “linking”?
Are you sure that Link is enabled in L7?
Top left.
3 lines. Tap and it will drop down listing Link as an option.
There you you can enable.
L7 may want to be loaded in the effect slot rather than as a destination
espiegel123
Just tried that. It didn't work either. Cheers though.
Ben.
Thanks. Link IS enabled.
wim.
By linking I guess I mean being able to drop it in to an Audiobus slot and record to it. I am loading in to the output slot but I can't record into it. So I'm guessing its not "Linked".
I wish I could get it to work... In the meantime I guess I have to use a differnet looper. Loopy HD works fine. sigh.
You just need to put it in an FX slot, not output slot in Audiobus.
Loopy was designed to be an Audiobus destination. L7 was designed to be loaded in the effect slot.
When you say that it didn't work in the effect slot, did you tap on it to launch after loading it into the Effects Slot?
It might be easier to understand what is going wrong, if you would do a screen recording of your process, post the video to YouTube and share a link.
I just tried loading L7 into Audiobus as a destination and it loaded fine for me.
Can you explain what steps you are taking and what happens?
Hey Guys. here is the link to the video.
Its me trying to load Synth One and L7 Looper in Audiobus.
Cheers again for helping.
Strange. After you load L7, tapping on its icon in Audiobus should cause it to switch and then it should stop saying Tap To Launch. It works as expected for me (I am running iOS 13.7 .
What OS version are you running? FWIW, Loopy has been more reliable for me than L7
Works here too. iOS 13.7
You are hitting the “tap to load” icon, right? The video doesn’t show what you’re tapping.
I'm using 14.4. Brand new 4th gen iPad Air.
Yea I'm using the touch screen so no cursor to watch.
Yes I'm hitting "Tap to Launch". Doesn't seem to be launching though.
I've off loaded the app and uploaded again. That did nothing.
I sent a mail to the developers. Hopefully they will take interest in my plight.
Cheers
I don't have L7, but maybe worth pressing the right arrow when selecting the app from AB3.
Some apps may have multiple configurations
I just tried this, and I'm having similar results. Using L7 as IAA in either output or effects slot of Audiobus. Tap to launch opens the app, but it is connected to the iPad microphone, not to AB. Same thing if I start L7 first. However, I can load L7 as AUv3 in the effects position. I have iPad 6, iPadOS 14.4.1, Audiobus 3.4.27.
Edit: Maybe the L7 IAA implementation needs an update for iOS 14, or for the current AB SDK.
Same for me as OP. 2020 iPad Pro 14.4.1 L7 does work in effects slot
I was going to start a new thread but found this one. Same problem here, iOS 14.5, iPad Air 2. I remember reading Auria is having same problem, related to the Local Network access setting, if I remember correctly. Could that be the problem too with L7 Looper? @analog_matt @aure @Michael
Hi everyone! Has anyone find a solution to this annoying issue??? Thanks!
Since L7 hasn’t been updated, you can use it as an AUv3 according to the posts above or consider switching to some like Loopy Pro which is actively developed.
L7 seems to have been abandoned.
