Looking for an auv3 similar to fuzzplus3?

I just saw a video for this app and I was gonna get it, but it’s no longer available.

Also looking for distortion auv3. Both the distortion and fuzz I’m looking for will be used on 808’s to give them a little extra spice.

Bleass Saturator might do the trick...
The FuzzPlus3 distortion is also available in AudioDamage Grind.

Wow is it really gone? Fuzzplus was one of my go to's. I can highly recommend Shaper. I use it for more extreme fuzz and distortion a la industrial and doom, but it is very simple and fairly lightweight to use, especially as a send effect. It has many algorithms too that range from fuzz, heavy clipping, bit crushing, and can be interchanged in a semi modular fashion. I also have Grind, but I much prefer using Shaper because of how quick and easy it is. Looove Shaper.

Alternatively, I recommend using any built in compressor or limiter with extreme dialed in settings settings to crush/overdrive the sound. For 808s that might make them pop without needing distortion

It was incorporated into Grind which does much more and is available.

I think that Apple have now negated this option, sadly. I have recently lost an app... all it tells me now is ‘this app is no longer available in the App Store’ when I am trying to restore all my purchases to my new iPad. I still have it on an older Air2 but I think now you have to go through a Mac book computer to have a chance of transferring it. It’s a recent change I think... but a grim one.

I’ll check out Shaper and I’ll take note and play around with compression and limiter. Thanks!

I'm all about Saturn 2. Its expensive but covers everything I need out of distortion. Only downside is it doesn't work on iPhone (hopefully someday..)

Saturn is the best all-around multi-purpose distortion app. Grind and CrushStation have some gorgeous fx patches though.

Saturn is probably the best even though I don’t have it, other then that, Nembrini fuzz, Shaper.

Got fuzz on my ipad. Must say its good for distortion. It adds loads of gain without clipping aum, whereas mangledverb is way quieter and clips aum when gain is added.

Amazing on beats though. Everything is max and sounds good, without clipping aum.

A proper gem ( for free ) Not just saying it to annoy you.

When added to a beat. No need for compressors or anything. Just turn it max and its fine but with loads of gain.

Shaper is actually better on a beat. Fuzz has a tail you cant dial back.

Good to know. This little distortion is a gem. Probably my favourite iOS distortion apart from maybe the Blamsoft tube screamer one. Grind's controls aren't that 'playable' compared to FuzzPlus, and Shaper is good but still always go for FuzzPlus over it for some reason.

I wish I would have gotten it. Don’t know how I missed it really. I’ll probably check out Grind, since it’s now inside that app.

Above poster recommends shaper instead of grind. I thought the fuzz were good but shaper is better but before thought mangledverb was better than shaper. Thought shaper were a bit crush and mangled were distortion ( whether they are the same ) but just noticed mangled is quiet and found a setting in shaper thats just distortion.

My theory. Saturn is the best ( if thats what people are saying ) but maybe cpu is high. If not. Winner.

Crushstation might not be as good as saturn.

Shaper might be better than grind.

If you buy shaper. Then buy mangled when its on a deal. This is more for synths. The distortion version of blackhole. It dosent need to be loud. Like if you used shaper and reverb. You would be dialling the distortion too much it might not sound like its part of the machine.

Kind of wish I bought crushstation when it were on a deal but think a shaper/mangled combo is good for me.

Saturn 2 isn't that bad if you run/build simpler patches (which still sound good). The more complex patches are pretty much like running 5+ distortions at once, can get heavy. Especially if you ALSO enable oversampling.
