@reasOne i am in the same place.... apple f***ng changed the damn thing again and I am lost... how can I send these patches to my iPad?

    Zip ‘n’ mail?

    Zip‘n Mail?

I was sending the isolated ones and iOS noticed these but Thor was not an option to choose from (in the open in... dialog)

  • I downloaded from the site using my iPad and opened in iZip, which unzipped the file. Then if I click on a patch, the open in Thor option is at the end of the list and works just fine. The patch appears in Thor’s inbox and I can load it and save it to the My Patches list. Heads up, the first patch is all low frequencies, I could barely hear it on the iPad speakers, but it is working.

I will definitely try that!!! Thanks mate!!!

One question: iOS version? 14? Pados?

That’s weird because that route didn’t work a all. Thor simply didn’t appear n the list of open-able apps, despite the file being recognised as a Thor file. iOS 13 latest.

  • Sorry guys, I’m on iOS 12. Apple strikes again...

Yeah, that makes sense as it seems that Thor was removed from the AppStore around that time. @david_2017 I can’t believe iTunes on a Mac doesn’t allow you to access your iPad at all anymore.

Sorry for my stupid question, but I can't find Thor in the App Store. Is it no longer available?

    No, it isn't

It looks that Propellerhead is definitely not trustworthy dev in iOS world. Isn't it @Hanna ?

  • Ya unzipping the files isn’t the problem, they won’t let you share with Thor is where the dead end.
Really don’t understand why Apple would get rid of file share in iTunes. I might try to get my hands on an Older laptop from a friend to see if i can get iTunes that has it

  • @reasOne hey Bro, I think the issue is in iOS 14 and Not the old notebook. My capistan or how is it called (?!?) won’t do the trick too. Boy, I am upset! Apple !!!!! 😤

  • @reasOne @david_2017 Did you try the Finder option I posted a link to previously?

If not, see this: Use the Finder to share files between your Mac and your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210598

Ah ok, seems to be relevant to use a cable connection !? I was thinking the ios device will pop up as WiFi related just like that when you are the same Apple ID. Will try that when I am near my Mac :) thanks for the pointer, mate

Nice! I got this to work finally haha!
Once the iPad Is connected you click on the little arrow at the end of the list and go to files.
Find thor and drag/drop the patches

The preset browser isn’t good on thor as you can’t just drop the whole folder you have to drop the patch files just into the main thor folder and they go to the inbox in a mess LOL.
I wish i could drop the folder and add it to the soundbank list as opposed to inbox

    Maybe there’sa way that i don’t know

But at least the patches are there now!

Thanks for the help @telecharge !!

@david_2017 if you get hung up text me and I’ll show how i made it work

  • :+1: Glad you got it sorted.

Me too LOL! What a chore !! But these are some amazing sounding patches

  • The cable connection did the trick! Thanks to @reasOne anyways for the pointer tho 👊🏼🙃

    Rad!!! Good find

  • Would be nice if Moog updated their apps to have a consistent, modern method of sharing presets. One should not rely on the existance of a MacOS computer to transfer and load presets. And they’ve done such a wonderful job with the Model 15 and Model D.

Animoog is completely closed to me. iTunes sees the app but I can’t find a way to get presets into it.

If I’m not mistaken, I thought I read here that a Moog rep said they were working on improving their file sharing in the apps? I hope I am right about this. It would be a sensible upgrade.

That would be excellent. Once I grokked the architecture creating new wavetables became pretty straightforward. I Just Can’t Seem To Get Them In There.

This info is more than 5 years old, but maybe it still works. You'll need to save the whole presets folder to your computer, add the new presets, drag and drop the whole presets folder back into iTunes, then sync.

For those of us with only iOS devices, there is currently no alternative. Would be great if Moog gave all their apps a standardized file import and export function.

I use syncios on windows, it is available for mac, so that might work. You can copy subfolders and individual files with this (no need to copy the entire folder). Here is a part of the instructions from the README in my recent Animoog patches:

I recommend backing up your entire Animoog file sharing section before
    doing anything else.

Windows: I use syncios. Plug in the USB cable. When your Ipad is
loaded, click on Apps. Then sort the Apps. Then find Animoog in the
list. Then click the icon at the far right that looks like an
eye. Then click on presets (or categories) and drag the folder you
    want to copy.

  • Model D and Animoog now have access to the files app
